How Much?.
One or two people is $450 per day.
The pricing above includes lunch and transportation from the Houma
Best Western to the boat launch.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve dates.
Cancellation Policy: Deposit will
be returned if cancellation is made 30 days or more before scheduled
trip. The captain reserves the right to cancel with a full refund
of the deposit in the unlikely event that he is unable to guide
due to circumstances beyond his control.
We practice Catch & Release and fish with barbless hooks. These
fish are too valuable to be caught only once. Barbless hooks are
kind to the fish and also any person that might be hooked by an
errant cast. :<)
I enjoy spending time on the water
with children, ladies, & novices… Kids should be at least
10 years of age.
I'll supply the food and drinks (alcohol is not allowed onboard)
What is not
included in the trip?
- Your Nonresident Louisiana Fly Fishing License. Click
here for instructions to obtain. The cost is $5.00 - $8.00
- Although I keep rain gear (ponchos), sunscreen, & insect
repellent onboard, you might consider bringing your own.
Short list of items
to bring
- Hat or cap (long brim recommended)
- POLARIZED Sun Glasses (Amber works best) A $6.00
pair from Wal Mart will do the trick, just make sure they are
polarized.
- Soft soled, non-slip shoes that won't "hang" your
fly line.
- An 8 or 9 weight rod with a weight forward floating line.
NOTE: I can supply tackle free-of-charge, all I ask is that you
agree to replace any broken or lost items.
- Don't forget the camera. That way you can prove your
stories. :<)

Lodging
For a clean convenient room, I recommend the Best Western Houma
Inn, (985) 580-4300. Prices start at $89. Make sure to mention
that you are a guest of Capt. Dan Ayo with Shallow Minded Guide
Service, otherwise you will be charged more. Please be sure you
use the phone number listed above. If you call the 800 number or
use the Internet my discount will not apply and you will be charged
more.
Meeting Place
If you stay elsewhere or drive in from another location we will
meet at the Best Western Inn. See Map The
management has agreed to allow parking for your vehicle.

| Nonresident Salt Water Fishing License
Call 1-888-765-2602 in advance.
The state will issue a license # that will make you eligible
to fish on the days that you request. Master Card and Visa
accepted for payment by phone.
You’ll need to supply the following information.
- Name
- Mailing address
- Date of birth
- Driver’s License #
- Color of eyes & hair
- Height
- Weight
- Phone number with area code
- Captain's Charter license # (to be supplied when trip
is booked)
The cost for the license if you are fishing with a guide
that is registered to charter fish in the State of Louisiana
is $5.00 plus a $3.00 convenience fee. The convenience
fee will be waived if license is purchased at a store in Louisiana.
